one of my favorite things about nature and the cosmos is the face of the man on the moon. everything about it seems to perfectly symbolize our humanity. its tilted head symbolizes how life has bent it out of shape. and of course the expression is what makes it. to me it looks like he (or her) is screaming. that seems to wrap up my life and everything that ive seen about the world. when i feel i am being the most true to myself i feel like screaming or i scream w/ my music. its the face of someone who is lost and confused. who is trapped in a situation and doesnt know how he got there. and around and around he goes. and to top it all off, he always faces us, as if a mirror of our world. i get such a sublime feeling looking at the moon and wondering about all of humanity that also looked at that moon, w/ the same expression. his expression never changes. people come into the world, live their lives, tragic and wonderful events unfold, then people die and others come in to replace them. and all the while he is watching. it makes me think that somehow God sympathizes w/ us and maybe empathizes w/ us.
what is it that a scream says? somehow to me, it seems to say everything.
