i like to think of myself as a unselfish person but i'm not. i am just fooling myself. its especially evident in my interactions with friends i try to make to improve my social network and hopefully meet more date-able girls. i treat them like a means to an end and don't relate to them as the immensely valuable, intriguing, wonder of existence that they are. And they sense that and thats one reason Im having a harder time making friends. And its a self perpetuating cycle. The more desperate I become the worse it is. Really what I should do is say to hell with what comes of it, just talk with the person for the sake of talking to them. Genuine human conversation can be amazing and should be its own reward.
